Legend Mary by Kevin Nail: Kevin is pursuing his MFA at the University of Texas-Arlington. His film is a different take on super-hero films and is rated R.
Beauty and the BEAST by Nic Reyes. Nic is currently a student at Kansas State University. This film is a comment on campus behavior and is rated PG-13.
Sigmund & Dora by Shelby Hagerdorn. Shelby is currently finishing her MFA in Writing for Film and TV at Emerson College, but created this film while a student at Wayne State University, Nebraska. Her film explores the early years of Sigmund Freud. It is rated PG-13.

Just Benjamin by Paige Murphy. Paige recently earned her Master’s in Journalism from the University of Arkansas. Her documentary is a portrait of a transgender man finding acceptance and is rated PG.

Workshops, starting at 10:00am:
10:00am: HOW TO TELL IF YOU HAVE A GOOD IDEA - Before writing a sing word of your story (and if not, how to fix it), presented by Chad Sanborn. Using tools and exercises drawn from a range of storytelling and screenwriting books Chad walks through early story creation steps including: How to develop your story concept; Finding your theme/unifying idea; Tools for fleshing out and testing your story idea; Using your theme/unifying idea to fix your story.
11:00am: FILMING THE VIOLENCE - Create the action you want, while staying safe, presented by Nathan Oesterle. This workshop is designed for filmmakers wanting to learn how to effectively film violence. We will be covering how to cover your angles so that both your crew and actors stay out of the ER. Special attention will be paid to close-up physical combat.

Over Fire: The Evolution of Barbecue by Shane White. Shane is a Ph.D Candidate in Agricultural Education, Communications, & Technology at the University of Arkansas. This is a delicious documentary about a favorite pastime. It is rated G.
Fireside Chats by Halle Frieden. She is a recent graduate of Oklahoma Film & TV Academy Set Ready Course, and now attends Oklahoma State University. Halle’s film is a look at the worries of the Depression on a family and is rated PG.

Once Forgotten by Obed Lamy. Obed recently graduated with a Master’s in Journalism from the University of Arkansas. His film follows the efforts to honor three men who were lynched in 1856. The film is rated PG.
The Red String of Fate by Nathan Smith. Nathan is currently enrolled in Wayne State College, pursuing a degree in electronic media. His film is about a magical red string tethering two individuals. It is rated PG-13.
